Bedford man charged with murder after shooting cousin, burning his body

BEDFORD COUNTY, Pa. (WJAC) — State police say a Bedford man who was charged with murder over the weekend is accused of shooting his cousin twice before dragging his body to a hole, burying his body under tires and burning his body after dousing him with kerosene. Derek Louk faces first and third-degree murder, criminal homicide, aggravated assault, abuse of a corpse and other related charges, according to the criminal complaint related to the case.

Brookville Area Little League president faces drug charges

BROOKVILLE -- The president of the Brookville Area Little League in Jefferson County faces drug charges for smoking marijuana. Craig Griffin, 37, of Oak Street, is charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Brookville police said Griffin was seen by an officer on March 21 leaving Dirty Ehrma's Cornerside Tavern and retrieving an item from his vehicle before he lit a pipe. The officer said he smelled marijuana when he approached Griffin, who apologized for smoking it.

Mainline Pharmacy announces closure of most locations

Rite Aid will be taking over prescriptions for patients after Mainline Pharmacy announced that it will be closing most of it's locations starting at the beginning of March. Man who escaped Warren County Jail sentenced up to 50 years

Authorities with the state attorney general's office say the man who escaped from the Warren County Jail over the summer has been sentenced to decades behind bars. Propane gas leak to blame for deadly explosion at Pennsylvania hotel

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — Officials confirmed that one person is dead after an explosion lead to a second-alarm fire at a Pennsylvania hotel. SCASD approves building new Park Forest Middle School

CENTRE COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) — Centre County is getting a new school. On Monday night, the State College Area School District school board approved a site for the new Park Forest Middle School. The district was faced with multiple options. They say renovating the current school along Valley Vista Drive would have been extensive work. The school board voted to move forward with their "site 2" option, which is building a new school across the street from the current building.
