CINCINNATI (WKRC) — More information has been released on the death of singing legend and musical icon Tina Turner. The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame star died Wednesday at her home near Zurich, Switzerland after a long illness, NBC reports.
Her death was attributed to natural causes;she was 83 years old.
In recent years, she lived a quiet life away from the public eye, dealing with multiple health issues, including a stroke in 2013, intestinal cancer in 2016 and a kidney transplant in 2017.
West Virginia man killed in Bedford County crash involving tractor-trailer
BEDFORD COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) — State police say a West Virginia man was killed Wednesday morning in a two-vehicle crash, involving a tractor-trailer, in Bedford County.
Investigators say 70-year-old Walter Kwapien, of Morgantown, WV, was reportedly stopped at a stop sign, near the intersection of Allegheny Road and Hyndman Road, in Manns Choice Borough.
Police say Kwapien then proceeded to cross Hyndman Road and was struck by a northbound tractor-trailer.

Bellefonte baseball field to receive 'much-needed' upgrades
Bellefonte, PA (WJAC) — The John Montgomery Ward Baseball Field at Governors Park in Bellefonte is getting some much-needed upgrades and improvements thanks to an $850,000 grant.
Upgrades include a new press box, dugouts, drainage system, electricity for the outfield scoreboard and a new turf infield similar to the field at Rogers Stadium.
"It will be similar to that type of turf, yes, and it will be just the infield only.
First public meeting held to discuss potential new boating rules at Indian Lake
Somerset Co., PA (WJAC) — A meeting was held Wednesday night about the possibility of making some significant changes to boating rules at Indian Lake.
Some of the proposed rule changes include restricting water sports, implementing new boat length requirements and no joy riding on any watercraft before 10 a.m.
Another change could be water sport time restrictions on weekends and holidays.
One resident voiced his opinion at the meeting about the possible rule change.
Heroic Somerset police officers overcome smoke and flame to save trapped woman
There has been an update on the condition of two somerset police officers who were injured while rescuing a woman from a burning building Tuesday on Clark Street in Somerset Borough.
Both officers that assisted in the rescue of the woman trapped in her home have been discharged from the hospital after suffering smoke inhalation.
At around 1:30 Tuesday afternoon, first responders were called to the home for a report of a basement fire.

New tariffs expected on EVs, other Chinese green energy imports
WASHINGTON (AP) — The Biden administration plans to impose major new tariffs on electric vehicles, semiconductors, solar equipment and medical supplies imported from China, according to a U.S. official and another person familiar with the plan.
Tariffs on electric vehicles, in particular, could quadruple — from the existing 25% to 100%. The plan was described by the people on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to provide details ahead of a formal announcement.
Penn State police chief resigns
UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. (WJAC) — Thursday, Penn State Police Chief Keith Morris will officially resign.
University officials say he's leaving the post to pursue other opportunities and spend time with family.
Morris is an alumnus of the university who has served as chief since 2017.
He was in charge of police operations at 22 university campuses.
He was also a 20-year veteran of the Allentown Police Department.
Deputy Chief Tom Sowerby will remain the commanding officer at University Park.
