Prosecutors charge teens in Costco parking lot robbery turned murder
TUKWILA, Wash. (KOMO) — Prosecutors have charged two men for the murder of a 67-year-old woman who was killed during an attempted robbery in theparking lot of a Costco in January.
According to court filings, Ilyiss Mohamud Abdi, 18, of Burien, and Salman Haji, 19, of Des Moines, face charges of murder in the first degree, robbery in the first degree, and attempted robbery in the first degree.
Charging documents filed in King County Superior Court allege Abdi was driving a stolen Porsche SUV through the parking lot of a Costco inTukwila, Washington on January 26 with Haji in the passenger seat when the pair spotted the victim, Yuam Ming, and her sister loading groceries into their car.

WASHINGTON (TND) – A newly released poll taken just after former President Donald Trump was found guilty on 34 felony counts of falsifying business records shows half of Americans agree with the outcome. The ABC News/Ipsos poll conducted on Friday and Saturday found 50% of adults think the verdict was correct; 27% think it's incorrect and 23% said they don't know. Forty-nine percent said Trump should end his presidential campaign because of the verdict; 37% said he should not and 14% said they don't know.

UNDATED (WKRC) - Chick-fil-A's test menu item will come to participating restaurants nationwide. Food influencer Markie Devo posted an image on Instagram, revealing the Maple Pepper Bacon Sandwich, as well as Chick-fil-A's peach milkshake, which will be returning to the menu. "The Chick-fil-A summer menu contains one returning item and one test item going nationwide," Devo wrote on the post. The Maple Pepper Bacon Sandwich is made with the following ingredients, per the post: Flavored brioche bunLemon-herb marinated boneless chicken breastPepper jack cheeseLettuceBacon, hand-tossed in a brown sugar and pepper blendTopped with sweet & spicy pickle chipsThe peach milkshake will return to the menu, alongside the new sandwich.
Crews respond to early morning fire in Johnstown
JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (WJAC) — Cambria County authorities say multiple crews responded to a house fire early Tuesday morning on the 300 block of Highland Ave in the city of Johnstown. According to the Cambria County dispatchers, the fire was reported just before 7:45 AM Tuesday.
No injuries were reported, according to officials. Johnstown Fire, 7th Ward and Upper Yoder EMS responded to the scene. Stick with us as we learn more information.
Giant, 40-foot Santa Claus returns in Philipsburg
Centre Co., PA (WJAC) — Santa Claus, the super-sized version, is back in town in the Moshannon Valley.
The Philipsburg Elks once again heading up the operation over the weekend to put up the giant plywood Santa, which is said to be the tallest Santa Claus display in the state.
It was created by local artist Bill Adams in the 1960's and since 2005, Santa and the toy soldiers have been a holiday fixture at the Cold Stream Dam Park along Route 322.
Historic model railroad forced to relocate
STATE COLLEGE - Construction to one of Penn State's residence halls is bringing lots of problems for the university's model railroad club which has over 50 years of Penn State history represented in its projects. Now it has to find a new home, and that means leaving some special pieces behind.
"Some of the things here were made before my parents were born," said club president, Michael Dempsey.
They can only pack up the trains and buildings the club said Thursday.
NYU graduates stage anti-Israel walkout at commencement: 'Complicit in the genocide'
NEW YORK CITY (TND) — Some New York University (NYU) graduates walked out of their commencement ceremony Wednesday to protest the school’s investments in companies perceived as helping Israel in its war against Hamas.
NYU’s Palestine Solidarity Coalition helped plan the walkout from Yankee Stadium, according to its Instagram page. Graduates were encouraged to exit silently with red-painted hands and keffiyehs as school President Linda Mills began her speech.
“We refuse to let the ceremony continue as planned whilst NYU refuses to acknowledge Palestine or Gaza and is complicit in the genocide of over 40,000 Palestinians,” the coalition said.

The actor is tapping into his own familiarity with the angst of a young person by co-creating and hosting a SiriusXM's Stitcher podcast called "Podcrushed."
