Sheetz employee accused of stealing over $17K worth of lottery tickets
MEYERSDALE, Pa. (WJAC) — Meyersdale police say a woman stole more than $17,000 worth of lottery tickets from a Sheetz where she worked.
According to a criminal complaint, 37-year-old Cheryl Delawder was confronted by her manager after she was seen on video taking tickets from the lottery machines.
Police say during an interview, Delawder admitted to police to stealing the tickets and cashing them out at different locations. According to the complaint, Delawder told police she had been stealing the tickets from November 2019 to January 2020.

DuBois yogurt manufacturing company expands, creates 68 jobs
DUBOIS, Pa. — Danone North America announced the opening of a new building and addition to its assembly line at the company's DuBois location Friday.
Officials said the plant on Oklahoma Salem Road is the largest production facility making plant-based yogurt alternatives in the country.
"Danone is a world leading food and beverage company and our mission is to bring health through food to as many people as possible," said Plant Director Chad Stone.

PSU Fraternity Suspended through 2021 over COVID-19 violations
UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa — Another Penn State Fraternity is suspended following what university officials describes as 'violations of COVID-19 policies'. Officials say Sigma Chi located on Prospect Ave. in State College is now suspended after hosting a large maskless gathering.
The fraternity's party went against the State College boroughs COVID-19 ordinance and the university's separate COVID-19 guidelines as well.
This is not the first time the fraternity has found themselves in COVID-19 trouble, they were placed on interim suspension back in October, and now they will continue that way through 2024.

In this week's making a difference, Ryan Decker, an Air Force Reserve veteran from Everett, is using his passion for woodworking so veterans suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder can go on free vacations in a beautiful part of rural Pennsylvania.
Decker wants to give them an opportunity to unwind, feel at home and know they’re never forgotten.
