ALIQUIPPA, Pa. (AP) — A man accused of shooting a state trooper in Pennsylvania early Friday had served time in prison for his role in a 2005 murder-for-hire plot in Ohio, a district attorney’s office said. Two troopers had observed a disturbance on the sidewalk outside the Franklin Mini-Mart in Aliquippa, state police said. As the troopers approached, a suspect ran into the store and the troopers followed. According to state police, a struggle ensued and the suspect opened fire, wounding one of the troopers in the leg.

Last October, police arrested Cameron Raubaugh following an investigation into an officer-involved incident in the parking lot of IUP's George P. Miller Stadium. Police say Raubaugh reportedly called 911 and falsely reported a robbery in the parking lot.

AKRON, Ohio (TND) — One person is dead and 24 are injured after a shooting at an Ohio street party. The Akron Police Department said in a news conference that around 10 p.m. Sunday, police responded to a private residence in Akron on reports of a large gathering. Officers arrived on scene and observed around 200 people in attendance of a birthday party who were "taking over the street." Officers dispatched the crowd and no arrests were made.

According to PEOPLE, 24-year-old Esteban Prado initially finished in first place in the Orange County Marathon on Sunday. Police respond to shooting at Monroeville strip mall

MONROEVILLE, Pa. (AP) - Police are investigating a shooting at a western Pennsylvania strip mall. Monroeville police were taping off the Miracle Ear store outside a small plaza in this municipality about 15 miles east of Pittsburgh. The shots were reportedly fired just after 2 p.m. and there was broken glass at the hearing aid store, where calls were being routed to corporate offices. The company didn't immediately respond to a call seeking comment.
